port data and apps from windows box

is there are good way the port/file transfer data and apps from windows 8.1
native bos to a linux box?

my thought was to use pc mover, and install it on the linux box, and RUN it using WINE to port the files and apps from windows box??

any suggestions??

Uhm, just no.

If anything, I would convert the Windows box disk to a VM image file, and then run it in a VM under Linux.

Apps for Windows will not run natively on Linux, and I've never heard of simply "porting" them over, and having them work.

I agree with Larry.you just cant.you use linux or windows.but you cant get them to work together.
