A friend of mine has not been able to connect to the internet using their modem. They brought their computer to me to fix cause I'm pretty good at fixing most hardware probs. What's happening is the modem is installing fine, but when I try to get "more info" from the diagnostics, it says, "port already open!" I used to see this problem more often a couple of years back, but Win98 has spoiled me and I don't get exposed to modem probs much anymore... Does anyone know how to solve this problem or have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
