port 5000 do anything?

Port 5000 on your machine or on another machine? Are you using any software that connects to the net? Have you tried running a sniffer on port 5k to see what kind of traffic is going over it?

Could be benign, could be dangerous. Without any information, it's hard to tell. 😛

Are those incoming connections from remote IPs? i think that TCP 5000 is related to the UPnP service functionality. You are probably being hacked/exploited. I get groups of occasional hits to my UPnP ports showing up in my firewall logs from time to time. If you are not running a firewall - beware!
