port 3315 CDID, what is this?

Ok I have a friend who goes to school at an engineering school and he's got a firewall set up and he keeps getting activity on port 3315 from the school itself. now port 3315 is typically CDID, but a google seach turns up few decent results and nothing that seems to be relevant. so does anyone knwo what CDID is?
