My friend one of the 10 finalists for Porsche's My Daily Magic video contest. He was whittled down from original entries by Porsche. The winner's video will be shown on the REELZ channel.

For the video, he was given his choice of a Porsche product for 48 hours to film a video and edit it in less than 5 days. He chose a Panamera to go with a "family oriented" video. The video was filmed entirely on his Canon 550d.

His name is Rod Guajardo and his video is the 4th one down at http://www.mydailymagic.com

The title of the video is "Sweet Dreams". It does appear you'll have to put an email address in SORRY :(, but no other registration. The direct link to vote for his video is http://www.mydailymagic.com/vote.php?film=4. You can vote once a day until the voting ends. Please do so!!

Please vote for a highly talented aspiring DSLR filmmaker.

Thanks!!!!

Edit: Changed title due to request from friend.

Normally I dont vote on things like this. Normally it seems to me the "foum effect" is needed because, well, the subject sucks bad enough it stands no chance without a bunch of people mindlessly clicking "Vote".

This one, wow. Thats a good video. That video doesnt need my vote to be a winner. As such, I'll damn well vote for it because it deserves to win. Awesome, awesome video. I love how the contents were framed by the little girl.

You know what it really reminds me of. That Sony Bria or Bravada or whatever commercial with the hundreds of thousands of super bounce balls going down the street. Not sure why but in my mind the style is quite similar.

Either way, good stuff. :)

Morning bump. You can vote once per day, even if you've voted before!

Fun Fact: My friend is one of the few filmmakers in this contest that does not reside in LA or New York.

Fun Fact: My friend is the ONLY filmmaker in this contest that does not reside in LA or New York.

That's actually not true - - - while 3 of the film-makers are from LA and 4 from NY the others are from Washington DC, Alabama and of course Rod is from Texas. Just keepin' it honest.:D

Well done Rod but how 'bout the map one... "Expanding Errands." Nice!
