Porsche Cars North America Reports June U.S. Sales
Strong six-month performance of Cayenne and 911
ATLANTA, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA),
importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars (Boxster, 911, Carrera GT) and
Cayenne in the United States and Canada, today announced U.S. retail sales
totaled 2,807 vehicles in June, up 4 percent compared to the same month last
year. Year-to-date sales were up 19 percent to 15,709 cars.
"Porsche's first six months of this calendar year were very strong due to
the continued market success of the Cayenne and the amazing performance of our
911 range, in spite of reaching the end of its life cycle," said PCNA CEO
Peter Schwarzenbauer. "With the new-generation Carrera and Carrera S arriving
at Porsche dealerships on August 28, we are looking forward to an equally
successful second half of 2004."
