Porn bandwith?

I am just wondering how does a porn site make money with people d/l HUGE amounts off their site?

Do they group together and own a host themselves or what?

As a few GB d/l from each person is going to be a hell of a lot of bandwidth!

This excludes the sites with pictures only. I'm only talking about movie sites with lots of movies in etc. The pictures would be less bandwidth but it would still to amount to a lot.

I think they group together and share pictures/movies etc.... there's an adult webmaster forum that's pretty popular. I don't recall the name of it ATM.

Bandwidth is actually very cheap, almost free really, it's just that most providers are a total rip-off.

The porn industry people are smart enough to find reasonable providers.

Even if you pull a couple gigs $20 makes it worth it.

Get an unmetered bandwidth with dedicated server, probably a few extra hundred a month but probably worth it as well.

Product is mostly canned (old material) or from eastern Europe (cheap labor costs). Niche market stuff is usually controlled from one producer (one person/company controls several sites).

The larger you are, more bandwidth can be accessed at a cheaper cost. Yeah, size matters.

I see people charging quite a lot for bandwidth but I guess they can negociate a nice deal or own a server and everything for themselves.

Still rather pricey but I was thinking and that most probably don't d/l 10's of gb's actually and only a smaller % of people do. The rest are probably more 'casual' users.
