porcelain tiling

mum just called me and said shes shopping for new "porcelain tiling" for kitchen and bathroom floors

said theres a bunch to choose from and one of the main differentiator is country of origin: italy, us, mexico, china

she doesnt know which to pick. obviously, theres probably a bunch of different attributes to each aside from place of origin. but for lack of better detail, would you pick one based on country, or price? ie, should i tell her to "buy the mid-priced one" or "avoid chinese and mexican tiles"

I wouldn't buy the one from China, because they don't seem to care much about product safety.

Just say no. Tile is pretty cheap all things considered. It's the labor that kills you.

See if the tile is rated.

I used some marble from china but i would not trust a man made product from China.
