POPUP ads are opening windows nonstop

One of the popup ads is opening windows nonstop across the bottom of my taskbar.

I'm running IE6 and WinXP w/SP1 but doubt its a M/S issue.

I don't think that AT has pop-up ads.

Probably a cookie from another site. Run Ad-Aware or Spybot.

Are you sure there are no other windows open and have you run Ad-aware 6 or something similiar to make sure there is no spyware, etc on your system?

I've been having the same problem too with pop-up ads that I thought were from these forums (after all, they only opened up here, curiously). But after taking your guys' advice and installing Ad-aware6 I discovered there were a bunch of nasty data miners in my system including the culprit of these non-stop pop-ups here at AT, the 'FlashTrack' data miner :|. Others detected in the scan were IGetNet, Cydoor, EZuLa, and the infamous 'Gator'.

Its worth a shot. The site is only serving 3K/sec so its going to take awhile to get it.

139 objects removed, almost all of them double-click ads. One process from Kazaa speedup. Perhaps that was it?

Well are you getting them now? It was pretty presumptious to blame AT for your popup ads without proof or any other indication that it was AT. Having been here for 3+ years you should know if it's AT or not

They stopped coming up. AT has had popups and noisy flash ads in the past. Why wouldn't I suspect it was normal?

You should get rid of Kazaa and use Kazaalite instead.

Install pop-up stopper pro and be rid of popups.

Set your privacy in IE6 to block 3rd party cookies too.
