I recently got a home theatre setup (Yamaha RX-V667 + KEF 2005.3) hooked up to my PS3 and PC. Generally it works fantastically. However, there is one issue:
Music generally plays fine from my PC. But whenever there is a sudden change in the sound (the beep from google talk when a new IM arrives, or the ding when you adjust the volume in the tray using the windows volume control), I get all sorts of horrible popping/hissing when the brief sound plays. When I switch audio files in WMP, I also get a click maybe 50% of the time as it switches to the next track.
Any suggestions would be welcome. This is using the HDMI from an onboard Intel X4500 (waiting on an AMD DVI-HDMI adapter for my Radeon, but the IGP's HDMI port should work similarly)
