unless they've somehow lived a sheltered life and have never experienced real pizza, I don't understand how someone could eat crap like Papa John's, Pizza Hut, or Dominos and actually like it :(

I've had some of that "real" pizza before and you know what? I like papa johns better. Taste is something subjective (in case you haven't figured that out by now).

taste is clearly objective, and yours is clearly wrong :p

har har ;)

Makes your own. All it is is butter with a little bit of garlic powder.

impossible, even if you put it in the fridge it never gets that solid, it's very liquidy straight out of the cup. It's a butter like sustance, but I can't identify it :(

It's called margarine. The cheap 40 cents a tub kind.

no freaking way. I've never seen Margarine that wasn't solid. You can melt it to make it liquid, but it won't stay like that forever. The closest I've found is that I Cannot Believe It's Not Butter spray, and it's still different.

Popa Johns Special Garlic Sauce is one of the greatest scientific advances ever, hands down.

meh, the garlic sauce tastes nothing like real garlic, it's just those garlic powder crap.
And Papa john just sucks at making pizza sauce.

When I was little, my mom used to buy the bottle margarine all the time. The kind you can squeeze out and it comes out in liquid form. It's cheap and nasty but I grew up on that stuff because it was cheap. You can still find margarine in squeezeable bottle. Check your grocery store. This stuff was around long before the more expensive I Cannot Believe It's Not Butter crap.

you haven't had anything close to a good garlic sauce till you've made it yourself with real garlic and real butter.

i like to do it in the microwave.

i'll take the garlic, 2 cloves, mince it good, put it on top of 2 or 3 tablespoons of butter, put the mixture (in a cup or small bowl) in the microwave, give it about 10 secs or so.

when you take it out, the butter will be melted and the heat of the melted butter will have cooked the garlic so that the oils from the garlic will be released into the melted butter making a foamy yellowish mixture.

THIS is indeed the elixor of the gods. NOTHING comes close.

There is a man who knows his pizza. Papa John has the worst sauce out of all franchise chain IMO.

I still have the recipes for sauce I used when I owned a NY style pizza restaurant. It's the same recipe as the Fellini's Pizza in Atlanta. Pizza lovers in the Atlanta area should all know Fellini's Pizza.

There's this stuff called "Whirl", its sold at either Sam's or Costco (I can't remember which), and probably other places, which is liquid butter. It's the same or very similar to the Papa John's mystery liquid minus the garlic.

makes you wonder how much that little container has for transfat and monounsaturted fat to stay liquid even when cold.
