I figured as much. Once those who call it pop realize they are a very small minority, maybe they'll learn how to name it correctly.

Well, that is just for my county. Looks like the northern half of Illinois calls it pop, while the southern prefers soda.

Though, I do hear those abominations "sody" or "sodypop" used sometimes.

That is pretty accurate map on their website. I bet if the votes were taken out of the south for people who were transplanted from up north, the coke vote would be even more lopsided.

I heard a theory once linking soda/pop/coke debate to how people vote in presidental elections...have to see if I can find it... Well we know which one Bush would choose
