Pop up windows make forum unreadable

Could you please turn off the pop-up windows as they make the forum unreadable.

In this forum, when you click here to close, you end up reading a thread about bunnies with pancakes on their head.

Not that I could do anything about, because it would be something being done well above my paygrade, but I've never seen anything like that here. Could you direct me to where this is happening on the forum?

No script is trying to block some stuff from exponential.com but other then that no popups here. Normally I'd get a warning. This is a tech site, popups are so 1990 and drive traffic away, I highly doubt they would put popups here.

I've gotten popups at AT before too. The computer was not infected. Don't ask me how it works, but I'm sure it has something to do with the ad provider.

For the record, I have never experienced a popup here. And I don't block ads, so it's unlikely to me that was the cause.

I admit I am trying to get a rise out of people (or at least a response by an op) to the mouseover previews that have recently gone into effect.

I'm a newbie, and am "poking the bear," but I will stop now. It's obvious the forum is going to be this way, and while I don't like that an op has never responded as to why, I do like that I wasn't banned for questioning them (repeatedly.)

So, in short... I'm sorry and carry on.
