Pop-up recommendation?

Recently I have been bombarded by pop-ups, particularly a "Window washer" one with a blue windows-like look. I can't seem to find any pattern as to where it's coming from. I've run Adaware & Spybot S&D but they don't turn up anything.
Any suggestions for solving this issue or recommemdations on how to handle this and other pop-ups?
