You have the whole weekend off and it's going to be rainy.... you just got all your new PC stuff from Newegg including HL2, but the video card you ordered can't be used because you got it "refurbished" and the cable you need to hook it up to your monitor didn't come with it....

WHAT DO YOU DO??

You go spend $320 on Best Buy's best video card and save the receipt. 14 days of "testing".

O'Doyle Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll save everyone some trouble:

You are the scum of the earth.
How can you do such a vile thing?
You are a disgrace to the hardware community!
I hope your new computer fries with the new card in it.
You repulse me you insolent little twit.
I am reporting you soon as I learn your real name.

Is shooting the hostage an option? Oh! and watch out for that banana peel 😉

Hey, people do worse at Walmart. Buy an air conditioner. Use it for 89 days. Return it, thanks to the 90 day return policy. Thank the worker for the use of Walmart's generous free rental service.

That is neither here nor there. Just remember what happened to both the characters you paraphrased 😛

Ha, slip.... whooops.

Trust me, I blow thousands of dollars a year on computer equipment and other gadgets. I am personally financing the rise of our economy from the ashes... Yes, I even buy from Best Buy and Circuit City. I'm in a jam this time... HL2 is beckonning me from afar.... I cannot resist the call. I tried, but I am weak. Forgive me.....

Yea, people do that all the time.

Exactly what cable to you need? Also returning the cable after 14 days is the lesser of two evils I guess...damaging a cable is harder than damaging a video card.

Yeah I am nit understanding this need of a "cable" either.. have never seen a card need a cable other than the one coming from the monitor itself, with maybe the use of an adapter. If you need a DVI-VGA adapter, then dude, don't spend 25 bucks.. I have 7 of them in a box, Ill send you one for free (-cost of shipping).

Yeah, either pick up a DVI-VGA adapter from any respectable computer shop, or just hold off on the new card (and god forbid you read a book or do something else than play HL2). The only cable I could see you being in a real jam about would be something like the one included with the AIW 9600 series cards, were it truly is some weird ass custom job.

I'm feeling a little ripped off to tell you the truth. I paid only $20 less than retail version and all I got was the damn card.

Just like I stated in my last post - it's a 9600 series AIW card. You should have done more research about Newegg's refurb section before you bought a card that needed proprietary parts. Also, you should have checked on Hot Deals. Although the deal may not have been around at the time that you purchased your card, Outpost supposedly has a hell of a price on a 9600pro AIW retail box. That being said, good luck on getting your cables!

I did buy the cable, $25 from ATI's website. I'm selling it when it gets here.
I have a XFX ti4600 I bought here is FS/FT. It came as a bare card so I called XFX to see about purchasing the VIVO cable and they are kindly sending me the cable free of charge 🙂 I doubt ATI will do the same, I'm just sayin' man, I'm just sayin' 😛

LOL- there's a reason every other WalMart shopper looks like "Cletus the Slack Jawed Yokel" on "The Simpsons". The same people probably wonder why they never get ahead in life and think they are "beating the system".

What you are is a goof.

The pictures shown are from the NEW version of this item. If you purchase this refurbished product you will receive an OEM BAREBONE, meaning it is just the item itself. Accessory items are NOT INCLUDED with refurbished products. Accessories are shown in the pictures so that customers will know what is missing from the item.

2. It does not matter how much you spend at Best Buy, what you did wastes their time and money. If you spend $10K a year there, you're proud you only stole $50?
