POP Hotmail into Outlook 2000

Any one tried to use Outlook 2000 to get email from Hotmail accounts. It seems POP service is only available to subscribers now. Yahoo did the same but you can download YAHOOPOPs and then POP yr Yahoo emails. Any freeware for Hotmail yet?

I always used the http connection (through outlook). It allowed me to copy whatever mail I wanted to my .pst file by drag and drop... and it's free. I think that was available in 2000, I know it is in XP.
