Poor student needs video card help...

Hi all, I recently (this summer) built myself a new system, and went for the standard 1.33Tbird setup (8k7a, 512DDR, etc), but was starting to run out of funds... so I went and bought myself a Geforce 2 Pro 32mb! Oh the pain! I didn't realise what a bottleneck that card would be until I got Ghost Recon and RTCW running - detail settings must be down to low/medium, and only 16bit color. My question is: are there any tweaks I can make to the card (I have the latest drivers), and if not, is it worth it to shell out the $250 for a Geforce 3 ti500?
--Thanks

It would be worth it to shell out $170 for a Radeon 8500 OEM...

Orcish is right. There's gotta be something else wrong here. A geforce 2 pro is more than enough for any games out right now. I would try to figure out what is causing the issue before getting a new graphics card. Cause if the issue is system related it could fubber the next graphics card as well.
