I was wondering if anybody else out there noticed that your geforce3 ti200 performed pretty terrible to what you've expected?

I recently had a fresh install and loaded up counterstrike, only to find that for some weird reason, it would only pump out either 100 or 50 fps in opengl on cs_office...it seemed to arbritrarily decide what was easy and difficult to draw. Running it in direct3d was even worse, I would typically get no more than 50 fps in cs_office or a similar "simple map". I had a score of about 5300 in 3dmarks. These are my system specs...

Epox 8kha+ (kt266a)
Palamino 1.33 ghz
256M mushkin pc2100 (2-2-2)
msi geforce3 ti200
Ibm 60gxp
sb live 5.1
WinME w/ directx 8.1, newest via 4in1, lately detenator drivers from nvidia @ 1024x768x16 (desktop res and game res)
samsung 955df

Does anyone know of any reason why I would only be able to get only 30fps with this setup? I was able to get more than this on my old k6-2 / v3 combo. I don't think I missed anything, except that I cannot seem to disable v-sync in either opengl or direct3d because the drivers won't let me disable it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Email me if you want. Thank you...

max_fps 100
in the half-life console (i think that's it)

update your video drivers if you cant access opengl/d3d vsync options. they should be there under advanced...

I'm using detenator 23.11 drivers. Yes, I have already typed in fps_max 100.....sigh I tried looking for the advanced options, but when I look, I only have "enable fog emulation table" checked off and "display logo when running direct3d apps" unchecked for direct3d settings. I found the vsync for opengl, but there still isn't one for direct3d....sigh

I've used quite a few different versions of the Dets, and have had no problem finding where to disable vsync, but for some reason, it won't STAY disabled. Everytime I reopen the display props, it's re-enabled... grrr... any ideas?
