400mm on a 1.6 crop body = 640mm

Okay....when's the next full moon?
I've used that combo myself; it's the perfect focal length of moon shots. Any shorter, and the moon isn't big enough. Any longer, and the moon moves too quickly to get more than one shot without recomposing.
ISO200 at f/8 or f/11 should get you a fast enough shutter speed. Just be sure to use a beefy tripod and head, self timer, and mirror-lockup if your camera has the feature.
A full moon is fine for pictures, but I find a partial moon to be more interesting, as the angle of the sun adds some relief to the surface features.
