Poor Gamer seeks video card to play Tribes2!!

Hey I just got tribes2 and I dont have a card that will play it. I'm dying to play it. I am wondering which card I should get. My price range is around 100 dollars or maybe barely over that. So, I was thinking Geforce2 MX or Radeon. Any other suggestions, or opions on these cards. If Geforce2, which brand? Thanks for the help. I will be running this new card on an AMD k6-2 475mhz machine with 128mb of ram.

You'll need a GF2..GTS if you can.

As you might know, T2 right now isn't as optimized as it should be..in future patches you can expect better performances..but right now, I think your best bet is to spend a bit more and get a GTS 32mb.

MX would be good too, since you don'T exactly have a 1.5 ghz 😉

I'm sorry about the K6-2...had some experience at the tech shop that weren't too good. Anyways I'd say go with the GTS AT LEAST

Sorry bud.. Regardless of what card you get your CPU is digging your grave.
Wouldn't matter if you had an Ultra, you'd still be in 640.480 or less 🙁
 
You are very cpu limit there bud. Stay away from server with mroe then 16 people if you expect to play at a decent framerate at 640 resolution. Radeon works well with tribes 2.
