Hi all,
I definitly cannot be stable with more that 143 Mhz of FSB with my ABIT KT7A-RAID. It's not a memory problem, I have a staick of CORSAIR 256 MB SDRAM PC-150 with 7ns chips, and it works well at 160 CAS2 with another mobo.

All timings are set at maximum, and I'm using the original chipset cooler, but renforced well with a 8cm Sunon fan at 17Volts, whici should help gratly.

So I don't think it's a cooling problem, I'd buy a more powerful cooling solution, even with liquid cooling, if i wew sure the cooling is the problem.

So can you owners of KT7A-RAID post your opinion about this, your maximum Mhz FSB and cooling ?

Thnaks.

Out of 3 KT7A's (non-Raid), all maxed out at 143MHz. Stable that is.
Using excellent KingMax PC150, or Tonicom PC166.
But, total end speed was actually higher than I could get with an Iwill.
Best Iwill would do was 160x6, or 960MHz.
Same CPU in Abit KT7A would do 143x7, or 1001MHz.
And testing showed that the 143x7 was faster than 160x6.
In summary, FSB alone does not mean jack squat.
Now running same CPU in Epox 8kta3 Pro at 154x6.5, or 1001MHz.
Still have the Abit system running 143x7.
Iwill is outa here, and kept the best Epox and the next best, KT7A.
