Poor AMD64 3000+ Venice Performance

Those scores are normal for single channel memory. SuperPI loves memory bandwidth. thats why dual channel systems score better.

PCmark 05, but that likes bandwidth too. Id say do the 3dmark 05 cpu test. You should get around 4000-4500, maybe a bit less.

I tried to do the cpu test on 3dmark05, but most of the time the fps was at 1, sometimes peaking at 2, was taking to long. What should I do?

Edit: Okay, I let it finish, the cpu score is 4050, but the average fps in the 2 game test is around 2 fps. Is this normal in 3DMark05

My 3000+ winchester @ 2.4Ghz OC does 34Sec 1M SuperPie. At stock 1.8Ghz it does 47 sec, but that is with dual channel mem. So if you are running stock and single channel mem 53 sec sounds about right.

Im considering buying more memory so do you think another 512mb memory for 1gb total in dual channel will help everyday performance, not just benchmarks?
