i've got winxp on an athlon xp 1800+ system, msi kt266 board, with 512 mb of pc2100 dram. just got a visiontek geforce3 ti200 card, but my 3dbench2001 score seems poor - ~6300. looking on the madonion web site i see a lot of scores posted that are over 8000, many saying they aren't overclocking! so what am i doing wrong? is it winxp?

any ideas much appreciated,

joe

thanks, buck! that actually brings up a question i have always had - what's the advantage/reason for disabling vsync? and why doesn't this mess up the monitor? don't you need a vsync to reset the gun back to the upper right edge of the screen?

you are talking about D3D vertical sync right?

I have the option in my power strip config so i'm gonna enable "diable vertical sync" for D3D and see what it does to my scores, i'm running 230/500 on my TI200 right now and getting 7448 with it enabled, why is it neccesary?
