Some friends thought it's a deer or a coyote but I think a deer's would look like pelletes and a coyote would be more tube shaped, am I right?

Definitely not deer, and I would think a coyote's would look like dog poop. I don't know if Mosh was serious about bear, but it doesn't look like a big enough pile for one(not that I've ever seen bear crap).

I'd guess a small meat eater, maybe a possum or raccoon.

I wasn't sure if "bear" was just a guess or if you are sure. I've asked a bunch of people around here and keep getting different answers but no one seems really sure. I was kinda worried that it's a bear

If it's fresh, and in a relatively undisturbed area, you might be able to see if it was something as big as a bear by looking at the grass, and seeing if any got pushed down from a big critter walking. Where are you located?

This is what first came to mind when I saw it. I witnessed a couple necropsy (sp?) when I was younger of bears, coyotes and wolves. It looks like bear to me, although I would go as far to say as usually bear feces has more berry remnants in it. Coyote/wolf definitely has more hair.

Is this sad that I have memories of animal poop? Hocking College in Ohio used to come up to where I camped and do studies here in Ontario. They used to actually pick apart the poop and figure out exactly what the animals ate. It was quite interesting to be honest.
