Actually, a friend of mine bought a pool table online for around $2500 delivered and included a free set of barstools and a cocktail table along with a rack with cues and a set of pool balls. I've played on his table a few times, he's had it almost a year now and it is quite nice. Blue felt with a slate top. The table seems fine and looks very nice.

I'll see if I can remember where he bought it.

Ah. That makes more sense then. I think some places you can actually order online then pickup in-store anyway.

My picks would be the general favorites of Brunswick, Simonis cloth and Aramis balls. Depending on how hardcore of a player you are, a dealer will offer you different things like being witness to how the cushion's place, the speed of the cloth, etc.

And then from there you have to find a cue you like. As soon as I find a few hundred, I've been eyeing a few Meuccis.

yeah I'd say buy local. You will get a better deal and they will setup the table for you.
