Anybody on Anand play pool? I know it's not one of the more common games/sports around, but I LOVE this game. I only started a little over a year ago, but I play on the average 10-20 hours a week <depending on how much EECS work I have at UCB> and I've gotten decently good so far. I want to start playing in tournaments and stuff so I can get more of a challenge. How do I get better? I know I'm definitely not considered "advanced" or "expert." I have a couple books I've read for techniques <english, masses, hops, etc>. Any hints? BTW- I have a Meucci Gambler 2. Any other cue recommendations? I'm looking into buying another <preferrably cheaper one>. Talk here!!

I play pool, but 10-20 hours a week? That's pretty hardcore. If I played that much I'd have to cut down my posting here. :Q

;)

I think you're doing what it takes to get better. Practice. Hang out in halls and watch the masters play.
