POOL: Do you have one?

I don't have one now at my house but my parent's house had one (still does) when I was growing up.

yep. it came with our house we bought. we didn't use it as much as we should have but we were really busy last summer. I plan on enjoying it this year more.

It is an above ground, but it is nice for the two of us!

It's an above 30 footer and my kids love it all summer. Upkeep is a challenge but once you get the hang of it and if you have a powerful enough pump and good fillter it isn't that much trouble. It came with the house (with a huge deck built around it), otherwise I wouldn't have one. I will have one in my future house also.

The house I just bought has a nice above ground in the back yard...

never had one growing up, so I'm looking forward too it.

no way

my wife wants one, but i would bet $1000000000000000000000000000 that if we got one, it would be used so seldom that my head would explode

and of course the only person in the family that would do the maintenance would be me and i don't even want a stinkin pool

no... sometimes you'd think it's real nice to just jump in there on a sweaty day but it gets old after an hour... and all that maintenance... no thanks... there's a semi-public pool (town residents only) about a 10 minute walk away. I've gone to relatives' pools and it's nice to have - aesthetically pleasing - but I don't think I'd actually use it more than twice a year. Not worth the maintenance money/effort.

No I would never get one either. But if I was rich, I would get that indoor water jet swimming thing. (It is 8 feet long) Anybody know the name of that thing?
