Pontiac Solstice?

dxkj

Lifer
Has anyone looked into these. $20k base for it vs a miata, and it wins hands downs on appearance and power alone.

Too bad Im too cheap to buy one when they come out 🙂

The last I have seen most dealers are already taking orders for them. So if you want one this year better order now.

No it doesn't. The Solstice is one ugly automobile if you ask me. Besides, I don't know why anyone would buy a first year car, ESP from GM.

It looks MUCH Better than the miata. IF they can get it out by summer in decent numbers I've no doubt it will sell quite well. Sky looks better, but I will NEVER own a saturn.

I have heard rumors that it will be in showrooms by the end of this month.

There was a commercial that I saw last night including the Solstice. So it'll be soon. It reminds me of the Opel Speedster/Vauxall VX220

There was a promotion where the first 1,000 were reserved in conjunction with the Apprentice tv show - Text

After they were made available, all 1,000 were reserved in 41 minutes - Text

Dang! If only Pontiac could inject some of that good mojo into its other cars...

If you buy a first model year car, you're a fool... no matter how cheap they seem. AND It's a fsking pontiac to boot.

sorry, but GM actually has a pretty damn good reliability on initial quality. so you fanbois of foreign cars should just really shut it.

Sorry, but any car has crap build quality during its first year, when compared to subsequent ones.

Just found out that this thing doesn't have AC in the base price, so since you'd have to be a moron to buy a car without AC it turns out that the car actually starts at $21k, not $20k.

I only use AC in my Miata when I have the top up during a rain storm. Otherwise, it's more important to have heated seats IMO.

Nonetheless, you'd never be caught dead in the south without AC in a car unless you're a ridiculously hardcore auto xer or something and you want the weight savings!

Hey "MIKE" you're an idiot who makes stupid assumptions. I own a Crown Vic, I'm far from an import fanboi. I was commenting on the fact that it's a FIRST MODEL YEAR CAR. Go do your research and tell me that it's a wise decision to buy something that just hit the market. I dare you.

It gets insanely hot here, and my two cars don't have AC, and I get by. The family car has it, of course.
