The new Miata weighs 400lbs less and has a way better useable trunk and doesn't lose space when folding down. That is the only reason I would still get a Miata over the Sky/Solstice

but yet with the 400lbs less, its only .2 faster to 60 and not that much faster in the 1/4

the miata doesnt do it for me like the Solstice does.

I'm still a purist... I like the lightweight of the Miata. Makes it more nimble and agile and besides, there are few cars that are as communicative as all Miatas have been in the past.

Agreed. And it's not like I'm gonna be slaloming around cones everyday either.
