These cars look like deals but I wonder how well they will be in the long run? Do you think parts will get more expensive? Accidents / Insurance be more?

Get a G8 GXP. Exterior and trim parts might get more expensive, but there are loads of parts for the LS3 V8.

Deals? Aren't they actually hard to find for a deal? I love them but anytime I look into one, they're still up there price-wise considering unavailability of parts/etc.

Coming up on 3 years with mine in a few weeks. Just a hair over 40k miles, only issue I've had is a clunk in the front suspension at around 25k. There was a TSB out for the LCA's and they replaced them no questions asked with an updated version, been great since. Also, been running intake/tune (the trans tune is a huge improvement)/exhaust on mine since about 1200 miles.

I got rear-ended last fall and took it in, was surprised when there was no wait for the trunk/spare tire tub. I don't think availability, in the sense that you won't be able to get them, will be an issue. It'll just be more of a needing to wait for the parts from over seas at worst.

If that car was available with a 6MT it would be an absolutely awesome car. Aside from that, its still an awesome car, I just think it deserves a manual option. Love the GXP and would rock one in a heartbeat.

I have a GT and it's awesome. I'm at 34,000 miles and it runs excellent. Nicest car I've had by far. It has a L76 motor which means that it has a LS2 block with LS3 head. Parts for the engine and such are very plentiful since it's just a small block chevy engine.

If you can find one legitimately for $20k you had better make sure that it hasn't been beat to crap or something because that is very low.
