Which is soooo unfortunate because I love the value this car brings to the market. If I were in the market for a new car...this would definitely be an option.

I don't mind the looks at all. It would have been nice to have the Holden hood and grill. You can get it for the GT and I am willing to bet you could get it for the GXP as well.

Too bad the GT isn't available with the 6-speed. A Pontiac at 40k isn't going to get much play. Yeah, it's a great ride and those in the know will have a bargain M5 but most people who spend 40k on a car are status-seakers.

Hopefully they will fix the no manual issue after the intro of the GXP...filtering the GXP manual down as an option on the GT.

I tried to get employee pricing and all it'll give me is N/A. As soon as they release the info, I'll get back you ya. I would think with GM's desire to sell any car right now, anybody could get employee pricing.

Nah, it still has that Pontiac cheap look, if I were to buy one, it would probably be in black to hide the cheapness, same deal went with the last gen evo's, they only did it for me in black.

Yep, in the end it's $40k for a pontiac and people who care about prestige--those buying BMW M5's--are not going to buy a vehicle that to the layperson looks like a slightly tricked out bland family sedan. To me it looks like a larger G6 and nothing special and that is going to be something a potential buyer will see, just like that other V8 Pontiac 2 door that came out a few years ago (which didn't sell well). Very fast with its corvette engine, very bland looking and exceptionally forgettable.

why is a manual more expensive then an auto? In Belgium, it's just the other way around. You would think that an auto transmission is much more expensive
