I went today looking at cars. After looking at hondas, nissans, fords, gms, etc i went to the local pontiac dealer because my buddy kept telling me about the GTO. I had to check it out. So, i get over there and i start in the used dept and i find a 04 Grand Prix GTP. Nice car, seemed a bit ragged, so i just didnt even spend any time on it. Then, i saw an 03 maxima. This car was nice. 44k on it, the se model so it had the 6 cylinder, power everything... just an overall nice used car. It could use a bath, and some fine cleaning too. 16k. Not bad.... then i go inside the dealership and i start getting harassed. They asked me to tell them why i wasnt buying a vehicle today. So i told them i hadnt looked at everything i wanted to look at. It was all cool until he threw me the keys to a G6. Not the GTP model, just the regular one with the 6 and the 3.5 in it. Nice car... not what i wanted. If i was to buy a smaller sedan it had to be a stick. So, i drive it anyways, and get back and when i pull up i see that they make the g6 in a gtp. Now, i got a woodrow that couldnt stop. I liked the regular g6.. this was only gonna get worse...So i go over there and there is one its Red, sedan, spoiler, leather, etc. Awesome looking car. Even a manual tranny 6 spd. So, we get in that one and i take out of there with the sales person with me. I hammered through 3 gears on it right from the get and OMFG. This car was soo strong. It blew my mind. Keep in mind, i just drove the GTO. It was sick fast... but this was not far behind. So light, nimble, and smooth. It just fit. I almost bought the damn thing. I had to walk out as the numbers werent where i wanted them to be. I am pretty sure they will be calling me back tomorrow.. we will see. Either way, i saw a 03 or 02 lexus is300 at another dealership that i am going to check out tomorrow. Cant wait... i love car shopping.

Only buy it if you can get it well under invoice. The resale on that thing will sink like a stone, particularly after the discount pricing they had all summer.
Fixed. And don't dispute the MS6 being last unless you're a fan of TMICs, their associated brutal heatsoak, and -80hp at the wheels vs the mfr stated numbers. I smell RX8 volume 2.

Finally, someone said it. Realize, im 6 foot 4 250 lbs. I dont fit in your every day japanese car. I have to find something i fit in. The g6, i fit. The subaru, i dont fit. The honda, while very good on resale, i dont like. The mazda 6, the only one i would ever buy is the 6 cylinder, and I dont want that.
I've got a 2005 G6 GT and I'm pleased with it.

We purchased an 05 G6 a few months ago... Totally love the car.. its got some great power! I hate switching back to my Grand Am after I've driven the G6 for a few days.
and all the maximas have power everything.
Oh, and the 03 maxima has more power than the IS300. Should take the maxima for a drive.
