Our top diplomat screams, curses and forces a journalist to point to Ukraine on a blank map, in an apparent effort to prove no one "gives a shit" about our ally Ukraine.

This was in response to a question of why he isn't protecting all the people that work for him (ie Marie Yanovich.)

The real coup de grace was threatening a reporter that "people will hear about this."

Yeah, that's why she has a microphone dumbass.

Only the best people right?

Jesus Christ this mfer needs to resign. I don’t care if he goes private sector and milks his CIA/State Dept creds for all they’re worth. Let him go full-FARA for Saudis and UAE and make millions. Just get the fuck away from our government.

Wherever the screaming and cursing is, it isn't on the linked audio recording.

"Immediately after the questions on Ukraine, the interview concluded. Pompeo stood, leaned in and silently glared at Kelly for several seconds before leaving the room.

A few moments later, an aide asked Kelly to follow her into Pompeo's private living room at the State Department without a recorder. The aide did not say the ensuing exchange would be off the record.

Inside the room, Pompeo shouted his displeasure at being questioned about Ukraine. He used repeated expletives, according to Kelly, and asked, "Do you think Americans care about Ukraine?" He then said, "People will hear about this."

Got it. Thanks. I just queued up the audio and listened.

If it isn't on tape though, they're just going to say it's fake news.

The poor man is experiencing unconscious self contempt. He can't quite suppress the the moral recognition that he is worthless. This makes him lash out at others. He knows he is exposed and people can see his real inner condition. He hates to be made aware of how low he has sunk.

Small wonder Trump hasn't held a White House press briefing since like what? March of last year is it?

It seems the only way he'd hold one now is having everyone from the press gagged with guns pointed at their heads, absolutely no questions asked.

Well, except for the very welcomed folks from the FOX Ministry of RNC Propaganda of course.

Too many questions that sound more like accusations to Trump is a product of his own disingenuous behavior.

edit - As for Pompeo, well he deserves to be crucified by the free press simply due to the fact the he lies as bad as Trump, has nothing positive to announce ever and if he does well it'll more than likely be a lie.

Unfortunately, he's likely right with regard to the average American (voter).

Well I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't have maps.

I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and, I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S. or should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future. For our children.

Pompeo seems clearly agitated by Kelly's questions on just how the administration's draconian policies toward Iran are supposed to gain their cooperation, and can barely contain himself when the subject turns to Ukraine and his apparent lack of support for former ambassador Marie Yovanovitch.

The most fascinating bit is right at the end, where Kelly, who remained unflappable throughout, relates how Pompeo, during his post-interview tirade, hauled out an unmarked world map and demanded that Kelly find and identify Ukraine. What the actual fuck?

Guys like Pompeo think that everybody else is stupid -- that's why they can lie so shamelessly. A corollary is that if a questioner calls them on something, it can't be because the average person is smart enough to know X, it's because the questioner is parroting a script written for him by some liberal or some imaginary enemy of the state some shit. it's an incredible temper tantrum from a powerful figure who can't take being confronted.

It's a general tendency for these people to impute their characters to others. Liars think others are lying; ignorant people think others are ignorant; and so on.

The danger in believing everyone else is stupid is the possibility that you may in fact be the idiot who doesn't understand anything.

Apparently bringing "swagger" back to the sate dept entails acting like an arrogant toddler when a female reporter asks you the most predictable of questions and then being humiliated when a juvenile attempt to belittle that person backfires.

Pompeo and his ilk are total POS with views to being a succeeding religious based monarch. All of these Trump cultist's have to go. BUT, I have my doubts

Democracy depends on active, engaged, civic-minded people. Most Americans are not paying attention to the dismantling of our Democracy and rule of law. They care more about getting their latest fix on Facebook, YouTube and Netflix.

We may need to feel the pain first.

People should know better than to ever be in a room with Trump admin without a hidden recorder these days.

This is the guy that made his bones as the premier anti-Obama conspiracist--literally his only public experience before being elected as a woefully unqualified representative for the GOP, only a few years ago. I'm utterly shocked at his complete lack of stability and profound distaste for logical rhetoric.
