I know we have had about a dozen threads about recent polls lately and this has shown up in the latest, but I think this is certainly worthy of its own thread.

A 10 point lead!! That is HUGE.
McCain is leading 54 to 44.
Look at the details to see how much of a turn around McCain has seen since picking Palin. No wonder the liberal blogs and media are in panic mode.

You shouldn't be so surprised.

My Electoral MAP from June still stands, McCain wins easily.

Which map is that?

Dave's Electoral MAP

 You have Hawaii going Republican? Have you gone full retard? Hawaii is going to go 80/20 Obama. It's things like this that make me think you're a comedian who tries to extract a reaction from his audience.

Look further down. That was my first MAP when I lumped Hawaii in with Alaska.

I was corrected that Hawiians are quite liberal.

McCain still wins easily.

Still not taking any of that $$$ action eh PJ. Your posts are as hollow as the candidates you support.

Doesn't matter.

That hollow candidate supports everything PJ and the Republican controlled America stands for:

Anti-Abortion
Anti-Gay
Anti-Science
Anti-Fiscal Responsibilty
Anti-Peace
Anti-America

That belongs to the Democratic party.

I always wonder, do you guys actually believe that crap? I mean, do you genuinely think that half the country are traitors? Isn't that really really paranoid?

You think the Democrats are traitors?

You said that they are anti-America. If you believe that means something else, please describe what that is.

Do you honestly believe that half the country is against peace??

Considering the fact 48% of the military considers itself Republicans vs. just 14% who consider themselves Democrat source.
It would seem counter productive to be 'anti-peace.'

Huh? Of course not. That's why I don't make ridiculous blanket statements like "Republicans are all warmongers", and why I make fun of people when they say things like "Democrats are Anti-America".

And what do military voter registration numbers have to do with this?

Exactly what I was wondering. But I have to remember PRofjohn is something of an illogical fool.

I think they would be doing even better in the poll numbers if McSame picked Laura Roslin from Battlestar Galactica to be his running mate, instead of Palin.

And she is a LOT more experienced! ;)

And there is an eerie similarity in the way they look, too. Just a coincidence? I THINK NOT!

In the time this thread has been open, the momentum has swung back to Obama.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/polls/

Looks like the lies and questionable tactics are not paying off so well. The excitement over Palin is wearing off and people are starting to realize that she is scary as a potential president. A female Dubbya Bush =)

Why it it "going to be close?" Because on September 17th, 6 weeks before the election, it's close?

The current polls are meaningless.

McCain's bounce is over.

Back to reality. Obama has a +2-4 pt lead and will win the election if he can stay on message and keep this election about the issues.

I wonder what McCains next gimmick is going to be?

female VP - check

steal Obama's 'change' message - check

maybe steal Obama? Promise to offer Sec State to Obama?

Maybe offer something to HRC?

They will go even more negative, and press it hard core.

Mccain said it on several 9/17 talk shows.
He's going to "drain the swamp".

Not sure which of his 9 homes it is with the swamp problem???
Is this like Bush clearing brush?

So we had 8 years of Bush clearing brush,
and maybe 4 years of Mccain draining swamps.

Thats a plan!!!

yeah, that's why JP's precious lovechild 538 is now showing a mccain victory; and the reason he is no longer pasting the link for it in every other reply.
