I must say I'm impressed on many levels. Not all, but overall I AM impressed.
What I like:
- Major speed increase, very competitive
- Enhancements to speed up AA/AF routines
- Addressed quality concerns and improved image quality substantially!
- Solid driver support. Not perfect, but solid. (To die-hards: A little better than ATI... not THAT much better.)
What I do NOT like:
- Two slot design will not work for me. (Single slot coming soon, though likely slower)
- Far, far too expensive
- Fan still too loud to cool off a card that's too hot and too power-hungry.
- Just too darn big.
What I will more likely buy:
Radeon 9600 - because it's fanless, silent, cool, FAST ENOUGH, and reasonably priced.
Radeon 9000 AIW - because it's just fast enough for my kind of gaming, but awesome video in/out stuff.
Radeon 8500LE/9100 variant - because by golly it's dirt cheap and still pretty darn fast.

GFFX 5600? New version is reasonably fast, but will it require power and fan cooling? This is a possibility, but you'll notice it's low on the list.
Matrox P650 - Parahelia Lite.

Awesome multi-monitor and 2D. Some gaming potential... expensive for what you get though. But if I got a super price, I'd be happy with it! Silent passive cooling too.
I'm not a 3D game nut... but once in a while I do need something a LITTLE better than onboard Savage8 video. ugh... :disgust: And TOP-NOTCH 2D and TV output is a must for me!
