Poll: your opinion on the nokia 8260

it's for AT&T service here in LA.

what do u guys think of it? how is the reception and features?

i want to know because i want to know other people's expereicnes w/this phone before i purchase it.

I already have a nokia 8890. THe best phone i ever had, but the price is a bit steep. 500 bucks for my 8890. Thats WITHOUT contract. But getting back to the 8260. I went down to the local AT&T dealer to check it out. And its pretty small. Its almost as small as my 8890. I like the feel of it. But its not a very durable phone if you know by now. Other than that. its a nice phone, if you can get pacbell. I just like GSM Technology.

I have the 8210.....it's equivalent to the 8260. It's a very nice, light, small phone. A person with big fingers might have problems with some of the buttons though.

Feature wise, it's pretty much complete, I think. There's more there than I will ever use. IR, calculator, games, calendar, the whole lot. Changing face plates is a gimmick, but it's a feature that I don't mind.

Reception and clarity are excellent, although the battery life is a little short. Supposedly standby is 150 to 200 hours....I only get 100 hours or so.

If you want opinions, go to epinions.com and perform a search for Nokia 8260. The last time I counted, there were over 30 reviews. Most highly recommended it. Small percentage did not like the reception. I think its a common issue with the hidden antenna nokia phones.

I think its ugly. big head and all. i like the 8800's series better.
