Is your primary vehicle a domestic or import ?
I'm talking about the company not where the car was actually made
( all Honda's = Import .. GMC = Domestic)

If you live outside the US, domestic = US company , import = any other country.

What if it's a Ford built in Mexico? Or a Chrysler built in Canada?
Mine is a 93 Camry built in America by Americans.

Chrysler isn't a domestic car company anymore, its headquarter and bosses are in or from Germany.

Mine is a domestic import.

Mazda MX6. The only thing about that's imported is the brand name.

Oh yeah forgot about that (DaimlerChrysler)

I guess Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge are Imports technically...

But I think these subbrands are headquarted in the US so they are domestics

Unless you count my Festiva or the Fiesta I had 10 years ago as imports I have three domestics (2 GMs and 1 Ford) in my driveway. That's the way it's been for 12 years in my driveway, that's the way it was in my parents driveway and that's the way it better be in the future in my boys' driveways. This ain't Japanese car country. Never has been, never will be!

1988 Accord: Made in Ohio, technically Japanese.
1982 CB450SC: Made in Japan.
1976 914: Made in Germany (about to be re-made in Ohio). :D

EDIT: <<Chevy Cavalier :)>>

You're happy to have a Cavalier? :p This would make you the first Cavalier owner I've ever met who felt like that then. ;)

I always try to buy American when possible only because it's almost impossible.

Clothes, shoes, computer stuff, Tv's, stereos, cameras and all electronics I buy are imported.

My cars, furniture and tools are American.

<shakes head>Last GM vehical I had (Lumina) was made in Canada = Domestic </shakes head>

personally I'd rather support a car built in OHIO than a "Domestic" built by Canadians Eh?

do you follow the logic?

Yeah really, the Honda Accord is like over 90% American parts and made in America.

The civic is over 85% total now.

Both are made by American workers.

Thought the management is heavily influenced by the Japanese (which is GOOD)....I still consider both cars as domestic.
