I'm just curious if other people remember their first lie as well as I do. I was about 5 years old when a friend and I were playing cowboy and indians. We each had six shooters and we broke all the windows out of a garage of a vacant house shooting imaginery indians, just like our hero's in the old westerns.

We went back to my house and my Dad jumped us about it. I'm think he was 90% sure he knew the answer because we had just left the place literally minutes ago and there was a caretaker in the house who called over and said there were some boys breaking the windows in the garage. I looked him right in the eye and lied about it.

My first lie was funny. I dont know where my imagination came from when I was younger, but it was extraordinary. I came home from 1st grade and told my mother than a boy fell at recess and he was all bloody and blood splattered everywhere. I told her that a flying robot had to come to our school to pick the boy up because no one could touch him. And I told her that the robot flew away with the boy. I guess since I had never lied to my mother before, and the details of my lie were vivid, she believed me. Apparently, she went to a teacher/parent conference and casually brought the incident up. She said "So what happened to that boy, is he okay?" The teacher said "what boy?" And my mother replies by telling her all of the details about the flying robot, etc. The teacher then explained to my mother that it was a lie and that I had quite an imagination.

I still make fun of my mother for that to this day.

I don't remember, but I'm sure it was something like this:
Mom: "Did you (insert typical child atrocity)?"
Me: "Umm.... no."

I would clasify that as a "sort of".

Hell no, I was probably really young. Not something I'd particularly remember anyway.

The earliest lie I remember is 3rd grade, where I whited-out a thing in my planner because I got in trouble and didn't want my parents to know about it (white out... great idea, doh!). I've probably lied when I was younger, though.
