POLL: Your favorite Led Zeppelin Album?

I have just recently gotten into Led Zeppelin after being too young to appreciate it when they were first around.....their music is timeless.
Which is your favorite album?

EDIT: I can add more to list - LMK

Hey they're all great. I can't name a favorite, but I picked 1. If you're going to start appreciating LZ, start with the first one. I really like the raw bluesy sound and passion in the first album.

I love the first 4 albums which makes it pretty hard to pick a favorite. I went with 3 just because I liked the contrasts on that album.

I got turned on to Zep by my big brother... it was a little before my time too, but only by a few years. I remember being 13 or 14 when I heard John Bonham had died... I was so upset, because I knew that meant I would never get to see them in concert. I did get to see Robert Plant, though. I wouldn't mind seeing The Firm, either...

Anyway, I'm kind of partial to Physical Graffiti.

You are lucky. My wife was the same, she had an older brother who listened to Zeppelin, Hendrix, Grateful Dead etc....so she developed good musical taste.

Unfortunatley I was the eldest in my family and my parents had very bad musical tatse.....ABBA, Drifters....you get the idea....

I would say IV. I love Black Dog, Rock and Roll, The Battle of Evermore, Misty Mountain Hop, When the Levee Breaks..

Hell with it, the whole record is great. I only named 5 of the 8 songs. 😀

I actually had tickets lined up for the DC show of the concert tour they were on when that happened so I missed my only shot at ever seeing them live. 🙁

Now that's sad. 🙁 We could start a "Where Were You When You Heard The News" thread... I remember waking up that morning and hearing it on the radio. Of course, I doubt they would have ever come back to Tampa Stadium, lol...

Murpheeee, I remember being 6 when my brother was 16 and hating his Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc. I was happily into Abba and the Carpenters myself. Then he started waking me and my sister up to watch Monty Python's Flying Circus and the original season of Saturday night live, and I was putty in his hands to mold and shape. 😀

Being a little sister has been bery bery good to me...

<---also likes The Three Stooges

What he said

what they said.

I still have the full page ad from the Chicago Tribune we were about to order tickets from to see them in Chicago. Ad in paper, decide what night to go, find out who is going, get to work next day and the mighty Zep is no more.

I had PTSD for years about that.

With songs like heartbreaker, living loving maid, ramble on, whole lotta love, what is and what should never be, moby dick, and bring it on home... Led Zeppelin II is my favorite. But overall I like all of their albums....and yes.....I even like Coda.
