Ok I usually start 3 RB in my league. I have: Portis, Willy Green, Staley, Buckhalter, Onterrio Smith

I give up: Staley/Buckhalter
I get: Moe Williams/Mike Anderson

I would give up the guy with the most potential (and probably the best true starting RB) in Staley, but I figure I have the Portis/Anderson combo and the Moe/Onterrio combo then....which could give me headaches b/c of the RB by committee approach. Both sides have risk involved.

Randy Moss hardly broke 20 yards in his last game, but broke 150+ yards in his first......

Not a man on earth could predict what you ask my friend......

In any case you need to look at matchups, a good player can become poor against a good defese REAL quick.

I would not do it. For one you would have to change your name to moewilliams8. For two, Williams won't be the featured back for much longer. I am getting the impression that Smith will be gradually capturing his duties. And since almost any RB in the league can put up big numbers with the Vikes OLine, Smith should get the nod because of talent level and potential. So you may get to start Williams for a few weeks, then I'd bet he'd be on your bench in favor of Smith. Staley is a good enough RB to keep on your roster in the meantime.

That's exactly my thoughts. But you have to figure Anderson in the mix as well. Portis has been getting banged up and insurance for him would be great.

You should take this trade.

You are solidifying having the starting back in case of injury for 2 good offenses.

And Moe Williams has a stranglehold on the starting job in Minnesota. Onterrio Smith will not be the featured back all year, unless Moe Williams gets injured. Even then Doug Chapman and even Michael Bennet may enter the fold toward year end.

Staley and Buckhalter are doing nothing and will continue to do nothing. Moe Williams is underrated. Take the trade man.
