With this new "DualDisk" thing where it's a CD on one side and DVD on the other, do you think $25 is too much for the movie on one side and the movie's soundtrack on the other?

For a retail price that would make sense...but dualdisc has been around for a while now and still has no hold in the market. People probably want to choose which movies they watch and which soundtracks they listen to. Most DD's have been used for band albums with DVD extras as your average movie doesn't have a worthwhile soundtrack behind it.

That said, I personally wouldn't buy any as I'm already picking up ~5 movies every week and don't need any higher prices ;)

I buy very few movies to begin with, but that doesn't sound too unreasonable (assuming of course the content was worth purchasing in the first place).

I would not for a couple reasons. I have a largeish dvd collection...that stays with my CDs. I listen to CDs in my car and I don't want to bring my DVDs with me in the car. I already don't like paying $15 for a new release, that $10 extra is a waste of money. In fact, if the only produced those, I would stop buying DVDs.

Since retail is most often times $20 for a DVD, it's an additional $5. Take that $5 and tack it on to whatever wholesale price you usually get. Scale it down so it applies to you if you don't usually pay retail.

Hmm, im talking like BestBuy and Circuit City and Target. They all sell NR for $15/$16. Places like Sam Goodies and The Warehouse usually sell them for $20. Like Star Wars Ep III...$14.99 everywhere.

I'm waiting for blu-ray so I've stopped buying DVDs, I just rent them.

I almost never buy soundtracks except when I have to have a soundtrack-only song (Matthew Sweet's version of "Magnet & Steel" was worth $9 for its sheer pop goodness :) )

I only buy movies (any format) that I know I'll want to watch a bunch of times... in other words I don't buy many DVD's & I buy even fewer soundtracks, in fact the
last movie soundtrack I bought was for the first Star Wars movie & was on vinyl!
