some friends yes, some no...
my best friend would get use of my car any-time he needs it.
but i honestly don't think i've ever had to lend out my car, no one's ever asked!
 
I would and do lend out my car to any friend who I consider a real friend...not someone I have just known for a short time and occasionally hang out with.
 
my 91 eclipse sure. I leave the keys in it when i'm home.

my 95 Talon TSi AWD .. NO. they need to go somewhere i'll give them a ride. they have no reason to just borrow my car. the only time I can think of where i'd let a friend drive my car is 1 friend said he would let me drive his if he drove mine (fair trade) but neither of us really want to hand our keys to another person. 😛

may sound dumb to some people but my car is my baby. closest thing I have to a girlfriend 🙁

About 30 years ago, I loaned my '66 GTO to a good friend. We both worked at the same place, and he got off 30 minutes before I did, so he wanted to kill some time cruising around. He came back 30 minutes later with a speeding ticket, but said it was worth it.
 
it depends on who .. Some of my friends ase extremely responsible ... so I wouldn't have a problem lending my car to them for a while ... however, those same friends have their own cars that are well taken care of ... so they would never ask to borrow my car anyhow.
 
I let my friend take my car when I ask him to do things for me (he's a mechanic). I let OS drive it once (pre-swap). Since then I've let two of my friends drive it but I was in the car as well. My friends and I don't tend to swap cars. We're pretty happy with our own cars🙂
 
Yes. It happens ALL the time. THen again, it is kind of a beat up CRX.

When I get a new car next year though.... probably not. Give rides but no lending.
 

Yep. When I was single I had some guys who wanted to use it every Friday. (I'd usually go out with them Saturday so they had a ride then).

Just made sure that when Friday came around the tank was hitting E and told them to put some gas in it :evil:
 
i loaned my car to my best friend when hers was stolen... to my bf at the time when his truck was broke... i got it for free - so i'm not real close with it!
