In this day and age, there is always going to be SOMEONE who is offended, or hurt, or angry, etc, no matter the topic.

"I had a great hamburger for lunch" will piss off a PETA person.
"I took a shower today" will anger some water conservationist.
"I talked to a girl" will infuriate someone who never has.

I assume he is referring to me b/c he PM'd me calling me a "tattle" after a mod messaged him about his posting. (unless it's just a pattern with his postings)

He wrote in a thread to someone to go kill himself. I posted in the thread, replying to him, that he ought to edit his post.

He didn't, and I informed the mods. I've been here on AT for a few years now and I know the difference between joking posts and jabs and honest debate, which is fine.

As I posted above, do you feel posts telling people to go kill themself contributes to make AT forums an example of an online community? Would this violate our rules of discourse?

Narc. :)

I would change my life to revolve around pleasing people so that I would never offend anyone again. And then I'd go into a corner, roll up into the fetal position and suck my thumb.

Depends who I offended and over what.

If it was a friend and I didn't mean to hurt them, then I would.

If it was someone I didn't know before, then I wouldn't care. Like I'm even going to attempt to please everyone.

Good thing I have no friends here :D

Some people would say that I'm ignorant and apathetic, well I don't know, and I don't care.

Clarify your question.
Did it hurt the feelings of a message bored member, or did it hurt the feelings of someone you know?

Would I care? Former, no; latter, yes.

I would care because I have no intention of going around hurting peoples' feelings. It's not my style. On the other hand, weenies who are easily hurt and offended should probably avoid the internet entirely and should instead watch the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon all day.
