Just curious what the prevalent attitude twords online car purchases are...
A coworker of mine has been watching Ebay Motors for the last couple months trying to score a cheap car in the $2500-$4000 range. He ended up winning an auction over the weekend on a '98 Lumina LTZ w/ 110k miles on it. He ended up winning the auction for $3500. We're located in Iowa, the car is in Cleveland, OH. He's flying over this weekend to pick it up and drive it 10 hours back home.
I think he's nuts. I guess I need to be able to look over a car, nitpick it, kick the tires, have it inspected and take it for a spin before I buy it sight unseen.
I just can't get over the number of people who buy cars this way. Good deal or not.
