Anyways, are you an American born/raised in the ME or are you Middle Eastern? You can't even tell half the time... We had Arabs that people thought were Americans but they had Arab/ME names :)
Any chance you could rephrase this ?

You are actually scaring the sh|t out of me.

What's scaring you?

In my experience Middle Eastern people look like what you see on TV (Osama, Saddam, etc.) or they look just like white people with ancestry from Europe. You'll see a guy that looks like the average white American and then you ask what his name is and it's Mohammed and he's from Saudi Arabia or Syria or someplace else. This is just what it was like at my university where Saudi Aramco Oil sponsored a lot of them.

Yup, there are double standards.
Nope, no amount of bitching about it or making threads about it will fix it.

I'm not black or white, and no I'm not michael jackson. But the way I see it, they have a BET channel, but no WET, (wait, that's on channel 594-598 DTV ;) ), you know why? I think becuz just about everything else is WET

theres also NAACP, american negro college fund, etc. but, you would never see a white american college fund.

If you want these organizations START THEM! Please stop complaining about how oppressed you are and do something about it!

Why would someone start a group based mainly on one's background; a trait you have no say in whatsoever? It just seems a bit shallow that there's an Asian American club or a Black Student's Union and acceptance is primarily geared towards people who are of the same race. Aside from a vague similarity in skin tones, what's holding these clubs together? Rather, what's holding them back from including everyone?

Other fanatics. Like David Duke, Jesse Jackson, and Cruz Bustamante. Former and current members of what are really (or in the case of Mr. Duke not at all) thinly veiled hate groups. Little kids don't notice color, until they hear things about it. "Oh, black people are lazy" or "Oh, white people are all stuck up". Then the hate grows. The thing that unifies "us" against "them" is race.

The best way to hurt people and groups like these is to ignore them.

You seem to have a misconstrued view on this. America is not a white student's association. America is the "land of the free and the home of the brave." This gives anyone who is an American Citizen the right to express his or her views in a manner consistent with their local and federal laws. If a percentage of America's population wants to create an organization (Black Student's Association) designed to participate in community/campus advancing events, they have the right to do so without question. This also holds true for Asian, Indian, and YES, White Student's running an organization. The problem with creating a White Student's Association is the stigma that will be placed on it. It has already evident (in this tread) that there are ignorant people that will view such organization as being a Ku Klux Klan club. However, this would not be the case. They would simply be carrying out activities and other similar events held by the Black Student's Association. This would lead one to wonder why is there a need for segregated organizations...

yeah i think its called the campus crusade for christ. ;)

i don't think we particularily need a white student association because there are so many white people at my school its not very hard for them to meet eachother.
