POLL: worth the move?

ok, so here is the deal: my school doesnt have traditional on campus housing so i live a block from school but they do have a 30 story skyscrapper also about a block away thats used for housing and school offices

current situation: 400 sq ft studio, no utilites paid by the management and i am paying $950 a month

Potential move: into the one bedroom in the skyscrapper for $1015 (650 sq ft), all utlities paid for

However, the KICKER is that i will be moving in 2 months to LA to work for the FTC. And i would have to pay $500 month to store my crap in the high rise for the summer although i think i CAN find a storage unit

Here are pros and cons for each:

Current place:
PRO
furnish
already here and settled
dont need to move furniture in the summer

CONS
Smaller
no school kids around

New place:
PLUSES
more students (better social interaction)
a lot bigger
same prices considering utilities
better chance of getting the same place or similar at the start of next year

CONS:
gotta buy and store furniture (not so bad since i have to do it for next year anyway)
pain in the butt to move (but only a block away)
only there for 2 months

I'd still say because your going to be moving to LA in roughly 8 short weeks that its just not worth the hassle... if you were just debating the move I'd say go for it because it sounds like a better deal & a nicer place to live, but you won't even have time to unpack & settle in before it'll be time to leave again.

I voted move. The main reason being that you mention your chances of getting the same place next year greatly increase.
