classic. I don't care for the bloated look and don't need my computer to be "pretty".

Because we need to use some applications that, for some reason, only support XP.

Near as I can tell, MS must have done a study to find out what people found annoying when using computers and XP is a result of a multi-year effort to increase and further enhance those annoyances.

XP GUI, highly customized to get rid of most of the bloat (everything in Details, minimal stuff on Start Menu, no desktop icons whatsoever). However, I rarely use the start menu because a) 90% of the applications I use regularly are already open, and b) the other 10% are in quick launch.

We have four boxes here. Three with XP, one with Win2K.

One XP has the Luna setup, the other two are classic. The box with Win2K-SP4 is just as efficient as the XP's.

I'm starting to wonder why I even bought Windows XP for the other three.

I still use windows 2K. I see no reason to 'upgrade' to XP. There are no advantages for me.

Classic. The Xp is just retard. The theme is like the first thing I change when ever I use Xp. The second thing is a disable that stupid hide half the menu option.

XP start menu is too busy. I like the simplicity of the classic. I don't need all those useless shortcuts I'll never use to clutter up my start menu. I just put what I regularly use in there and I'm set.

But the XP theme puts the Programs menu closer to the Start button, saving .7 seconds.
