I just got an OEM Toshiba 12x DVD-ROM and wanted to know your opinions on the two decoder programs. Ive got a 1 GHz, 256 MB PC133, RivaTNT 16 MB, Philips 804K 4x4x32 CDRW, 17" KDS Avitron, etc. Which would be better?
i prefer powerdvd. tried windvd for a little bit, didn't like it and stuck with powerdvd. their software also comes with registration in almost all the hardware i've gotten recently as well (vid card, sound card) so it's practically free.
I like WinDVD because I had a DVD not work with PowerDVD 3.0 to well. WinDVD has a better video and audio quality although it also uses more CPU power. you can't really go wrong with either program but if i were to make the choice, I'd take WinDVD any day.
Max if you have a Radeon go WinDVD... power DVD doesnt use the Hardware Deoding on the Radeon and WinDVD does. I cna tell a huge differene between the two.
