Man...I'm having major troubles deciding...
Between WinDVD and PowerDVD:
[*]Both have 4 speaker downmix and dolby headphone
[*]Both are $50
[*]They both seem to have good image quality to me...
[*]They both have well laid out control panels..minor edge to PowerDVD on the control panel, but I hate how it's chapter selection is a submenu under Title selection (you need to layers of menu to select a specific chapter), so an edge to WinDVD on the right click menu which I use more because I play full screen...

The Hollywood plus has the benefits of RCA SPDIF out, but I want 4 channel downmix for a 4 point 2 analog speakers....I don't know if it supports that or not. I've never used it so I can't comment on it's player interface...though TV-out might be handy at some point, personally I prefer to watch on a monitor...and I could just pick up a video card with TV-out

So I'm leaning towards PDVD3.0 or WinDVD2.3...
Well what do you guys think?

i've used both full versions of powerdvd 3 & windvd 2.3 & with windvd, the picture quality is slightly better than powerdvd 3, but with powerdvd 3, you can choose 2,4 or 6 speaker output, whereas windvd still has to the 4 speaker option grayed out unless you use the dvd genie. There is also the windvd M, which has the multi channel support which i didn't use, but guess it should have the 4 speaker output available to select by default. I think the realmagic would be better for people with lower end videocards, since i have a tnt2 ultra, i would rather have a hollywood plus over software because my videocard doesn't have some features that a radeon or geforce2 might have to make use of the software better.

After seeing Power DVD 3 mentioned here, I downloaded it, it is very good, still the best, I think

Power DVD can take screenshots, but on a few that I have tried, it says that they are copyrighted 🙁
