POLL: Will there be a clash of civilizations?

With all of this sectarian fighting going on in the world, and with all of the Muslim hatred for all things Western, is the world looking at a coming clash of civilizations?

Do you think we will see it in our lives?

Will the West win, or is it doomed to fall to the "horde" being brewed in the jungles of South America, the deserts of Africa and the bloodbaths of the Middle East?

Just random thoughts I've had lately.

Lastly, how much should we worry about this and fight it? Is it worth having a gun in your house to defend yourself from the rampaging revolutionists? Or will the government simply crush it as soon as the rioting begins?

Just a thought, but is this anything new? Haven't these clashes been happening for the last 3000 years? Maybe a better question will be "will these religious struggles ever cease? "
